Nuad Bo-Rarn or Ancient Thai Massage is a unique form of body therapy dating back to the time of Buddha and brought to Thailand and practiced by the Buddhist Monks of the time. |
Nuad Bo-Rarn is as ancient form of body work that among it's techniques uses a mix of soft rythemic balance compression and stretching combined together with specific energy points which applied together create a unique therapeutic experience. |
The theoretical foundation of Thai Massage is the work on the energy channels known as sen, lines similar to the concept of meridians in Chinese traditional medicine. |
| |
| |
Our Thai massage courses use a combination of traditional Thai Royal Massage and traditional Thai Commoner massage techniques, as well as integrating Chinese pressure points. An important component of our massage classes is the training of students in Qi Gong at the beginning of every class. Qi Gong allows the students to build energy and mental concentration. |
Qi Gong means "Energy Cultivation" and refers to exercises which improve health and longevity, as well as increase the sense of harmony in one's self and in the world. It can be used for a variety of purposes; as a self-healing technique; as a technique for healing others; as a martial art and as a means by which you can enrich every aspect of your life. |
In every class students will work giving and receiving Nuad Bo-Rarn, interchanging, comparing and sharing experiences. |
One of our primary concerns is the safety and proper body mechanics for both practitioner
and receiver. Our classes emphasize this important aspect of Thai massage training. |
